Following in the foot prints of the Hacienda; Manchester's second most infamous venue, Sankeys, has announced its latest venture. Teaming up with Victoria Warehouse, the venue which saw some of the Warehouse Projects' most celebrated parties in 2012 and 2013. Part of a series of developments in Sankeys' operations over the last few years, (closing their much-loved venue in the heart of Manchester and opening new spaces in Ibiza and New York has done little to hinder the brand) it continues to grow with the new series of parties set to launch on the 17th of October 2015. It will be an interesting one to watch; Warehouse Project being Manchester clubbing marmite -celebrated by many, but also responsible for contributing to the demise of independent club nights within the city. It will be interesting to see if Sankeys can break this mould with their parties.
"Creating events in these iconic locations has always been a true passion of mine," says Sankeys owner David Vincent. "However blockages and battles to obtain a licence over the last decade have prevented me from producing warehouse events, one-off productions and doing the things I love. I never thought there would be a time where I would return to promoting warehouse parties in Manchester and I can assure you there will be huge celebration on October 17th."
